Grand Prize

At my local Smith's, I noticed a car parked in front, directly in front of the 2 entrances, which are about 7 feet apart. What is going on? Then I see a sign that reads "Enter to win a 1998 Mazda Protege" Oooo!! Just $2. I think this is a great incentive.

Turns out 1998 really doesn't seem that old to me. But then I realize it's 2010. That's a 12 year old car, not a pretty new car. My paradigm needs to shift, just a tad.

  1. Last year I just bought a 1999 car. It's new to me, though.

  2. I'm with you - I used to think adults were whacked out when they couldn't remember what decade it was, much less what year. I don't even technically consider myself an adult yet and I'm already doing it. I may blog about this too - you see, last night I was laying in bed basking in the comfort of my old gymnastics team t-shirt and thought, "I got this shirt when I was 13." Then I realized that 13 was 16 years ago...wow...
